Japanese makeup that looks adorable and lovely, Korean makeup that looks natural and elegant, American makeup that defines the word sexy, all have a place in the fashion industry. These three different types of makeups all have their own individuality and a unique sense of beauty. Today we have an analysis of Japanese, Korean and American makeup. What type of Makeup style do you prefer?
1. Foundation
Japanese: Focusing on pink, dreamy, and emphasis on features of a dimension feeling. Japanese makeup pays key attention to the eyes; emphasizing on eyeliner and eyelashes. Japanese girls always give people a sense of sweetness and loveliness.
Korean: Bright, fresh, and natural, makeup that almost seems naked, Highlights are the main features of contour. Based on looking light and bright, on first glance, it almost seems like there isn't any makeup, but the exquisiteness and elegance is clearly evident.
American: The shadow of the face is very evident. American styled of makeup emphasizes on different shades of foundations to shape the contours of the whole face, especially on the two cheeks and cheekbones.
2. Eyebrows
Japanese: Natural Eyebrows. Japanese girls’s eyebrows are curved and natural. The eyebrows are the key difference to distinguish between Japanese and Korean makeup. Japanese eyebrows are generally never flat and relatively shallow in color. This is because Japanese girls like flaxen and grey hair color. To better match their hair color, they usually dye their eyebrows lighter.
Korean: Flat Eyebrows. Almost all South Korean celebrities have arched eyebrows. The color isn't very light, its usually with dark gray and brown to better compliment with their fair skin. The idea behind it is to highlight the gentle temperament of females. It is also more suitable for South Koreans to have slightly flat facial features, which really fulfills the Asian standards of beauty.
American: Arched Eyebrows. This type of eyebrows has a dark color, that is very neat, and the peak arcs are very obvious. This is because American people's eyebrow bones tend to be higher than Asians.
3. Eyelashes
Japanese: Japanese girls adores long eyelashes, which is influenced by dolls with big lovely eyes. They usually use false eyelashes, sometimes stick false lower lashes. This is another method of adjustment to the shape of the eyes.
Korean: Korean girls rarely have exaggerated dense eyelashes, but instead warped, clean, natural and soft. One can easily see each single lash.
American: Dense eyelashes. European American’s eyelashes are very long, so they pay more attention to the thickness of their eyelashes. They often choose some exaggerated false eyelash or use mascara to enhance the dense effect.
4. Eyeliners & Eyeshadow
Japanese: A lot of Japanese girls have big good-looking eyes, so Japanese makeup doesn't need an eyeliner to zoom the eyes. Although basic eyeliner is part of the makeup, they often use eyeshadow to replace eyeliner.
Korean: Eyeliner is rather important to Korean girls. They especially like drawing the outline at the end of their eyes, which makes their eyes look fresh and charming. Although many Korean girls likes to undergo a double-fold eyelid surgery, they still like to do their makeup with an obvious eyeliner and naked color eyeshadow.
American: American makeup is the deep-set eyes style of makeup, choosing earthy-toned or contrast colors to make their makeup look [stereo feeling]. American girls like sexy eye makeup, most of the stars likes to use black eyeliners that makes them look more enticing.
5. Lying silkworm
Japanese: Japanese lying silkworm emphasizes on painting white highlights on the lower eyelid, which gives eyes a clever and moderate look. Lying silkworm instantly creates a sense of delicacy and charm.
Korean: Lying silkworm is one of the biggest characteristics of Korean makeup. Unlike the Japanese lying silkworm, Korean use less white highlights, so the color appears to be more natural. Since the birth of lie silkworm, there have been an increasingly amount of girls who are creating lying silkworm by filling collagen or injecting hyaluronic acid. Lying silkworm gives a person a sense of intimacy.
American: American makeup does not include the use of lying silkworm.
5. Blusher
Japanese: Blusher are very important to Japanese girls. Orange and pink blush are popular, in order to highlight a sense of loveliness. The parts of blusher are distinguished, such as under the eyes, or from the end of eyes to the temples.
Korean: Unlike emphasizing the sense of loveliness, Korean makeup targets a more natural look. Many Korean girls have few blush, or only a thin shallow layer. Their favorite color is pink. Korean makeup weakens the feeling of blush, and instead focuses on their lips.
American: American makeup emphasizes heavily on achieving a sense of chiseled. The blusher is used as to flatter face shape, and the main colors are earth-tone color and other dark colors.
6.Lip makeup
Japanese: Japanese girls often choose orange and pink because they often use bright lip gloss to build a lovely feeling, one of the most popular colors is a vibrant pink in a sheer wash. It creates shine, full and fresh lips achieving the teenager look.
Korean: Bitten Lips is the most popular and the most common lip makeup in Korea. Because of their white foundation makeup, thin eyeliner, and less blush, the radiant complexion depends heavily on lip makeup. Koreans girls adores bright colors, which makes their whole face appear brighter.
American: Americans prefer dark, intense colors, and matte lip makeup. They seek to be mature and sexy through their lips.
